While 69% of adults in Generation X own a desktop, a close 61% personal a laptop computer. While roughly six in ten adults ages own a desktop, only 49% of Younger Boomers and 43% of Older Boomers personal a laptop. As famous in earlier stories, desktop laptop ownership has fallen slightly since 2006, as laptops have gained in reputation.three Currently 59% of all adults personal a desktop laptop, and 52% personal a laptop (76% personal a pc overall). In this chart, the dips in tech possession registered in the September 2010 survey are largely a results of the fact that Spanish interviews have been added to the survey.
